The studio

Built by creatives
who actually care.

We love the craft — the design, the strategy, the moment a brand clicks into place. Every project gets the same standard.

Tyler and Monica
Our story

Tyler and Monica started M Squared after years of watching local businesses get squeezed between two bad options: agencies that treated them like a small account, and one-person freelancers who couldn't cover the whole job.

The pitch was simple: a whole creative team handling site, social, photo, video, ads, and brand, all for less than the cost of hiring one in-house marketer. Three years in, that's still the pitch. The clients have just gotten bigger.

We work out of a studio in Owensboro, Kentucky, but our clients stretch from Florida to Wisconsin. Whether you're a local or not, the standard is the same.

I run the social media, photography, and content direction side of M Squared. Most weeks you'll find me planning shoots, managing client accounts, sitting in on meetings, or eating ramen somewhere. I got into this because I believe every moment is worth capturing, whether it's a brand shoot for a client or a random Tuesday with friends. That same energy carries into how I treat our clients' businesses. Your investment matters to me. I want to make sure you get exactly what you came for and then some.

I've been doing this for 12 years and I still get fired up about a good logo. I'm the one at M Squared building the brands, designing the websites, writing the strategies, and sitting across from you in that first meeting being a little too honest about what's not working. I take the work personally. If something goes out with our name on it, it better be something I'd be proud to show another designer. Outside of work, I'm basically a grumpy old man. If I'm not working, I'm probably complaining about something that doesn't need complaining about.

What we believe

A short list of things we don't compromise on.

Not a mission statement. Just how we show up.

01

Honesty over pitch.

If we can't help you, we'll say so on the first call. We'd rather lose the account than win one we'll regret in month three.

02

Partners, not vendors.

We learn your business well enough to make decisions without your input and we know when not to. You'll never get the "as per our last email" treatment.

03

Numbers and vibes.

Every engagement has metrics we're tracking. But we also care about how your brand feels, how people talk about you, and whether your audience actually connects with what we're putting out. Both matter.

04

In-house, under one roof.

Designer, ad buyer, photographer, copywriter. Same studio, same team. Nothing gets handed off across freelancer boundaries and lost in translation.

05

Built-to-leave.

Every site we build, every brand kit we deliver, your team can run it without us. We don't lock the keys to the kingdom.

06

Creative with a backbone.

We'll push back if something isn't going to work. Not to be difficult, but because you're paying us to know better. If we just said yes to everything, you wouldn't need us.
